ABOUT MY TRAINING

My work combines the powerful fields of Dynamic Eating Psychology, Mind-Body Nutrition, Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), Yoga and many other modalities in the human development space. Having spent the last 23 years dedicated to my own human development transformation and healing journey.

I trained at the Institute of The Psychology of Eating, the world’s leading school in Nutritional Psychology, where I received my certification in Mind-Body Nutrition and Dynamic Eating Psychology in 2019 - in IPE's internationally acclaimed program.

This exciting and innovative approach uses scientifically proven tools and protocols to help clients overcome challenges with food, weight, body image problems, binge eating, emotional eating, overeating, stress regulation and chronic dieting. Various nutrition related health concerns such as digestion, fatigue, mood, the immune system, and others.

In addition IPE, I've completed an NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) coaching certification and a 250hrs Yoga Teacher Training.  I personally sought solace and strength in SomaChi Yoga which has had a profound impact on my own general health, digestion, stress regulation and more. Having practiced SomaChi Yoga since 2005, it made sense to share what I’ve learnt with my clients. SomaChi Yoga is a unique style of Vinyasa (breath-movement synchronisation) flow Yoga, which includes traditional Hatha Yoga postures with influences of Tai Chi, martial arts and somatic movement therapy. I completed my 250 hour Yoga Vinyasa and Somachi Yoga Training from 2017 to 2019 and continue teaching, learning and loving it to this day.

The skills I utilise to combat the most commonly seen eating challenges and health issues of our time are a combination of practical, results-oriented strategies including body-centred practices, mind body nutrition and powerful communication. My goal is for my clients to gain an empowered, positive and compassionate approach to overcoming any challenges with food, body and health.

Frequently asked questions

HOW IS MY APPROACH DIFFERENT?

I’d be lying if I said I haven’t been there because I have.  Whether you’re prone to weight gain or not, we live in a society where we are bombarded with mixed toxic messages about ourselves. What we should or shouldn't eat, what we should look like and what we should do and be. It’s hard not be effected by it. The pressure to strive for perfection and fit the latest mould is inescapable. Just look at a typical instagram feed!

For weight challenged people, we’re told that we’re 'willpower weaklings' or that we simply need more self control. So-called nutrition experts frequently promote conflicting advice. This results in general confusion about what to eat, leaving us with an unhappy relationship with food, unsure how to build a healthy metabolism and unable to escape the prison of diet culture.

You see, I don’t look at eating challenges merely as a sign that “something is wrong with you”, instead of seeing these challenges as the enemy, I see them as opportunities for growth, self-improvement and a place of exploration. We eliminate those conflicting rules, the “should and shouldn't’s”, and focus on what’s right for your body and your personal style. I help clients reach their highest goals not by strategies that punish, but with strategies that nourish.

My intuitive curious approach to coaching is always mindful of my clients' unique journey and goals.  I love cheering them on in the most compassionate and respectful manner possible.  Understanding my clients' story, past, present and future is vital to allowing me to guide them to tune-in and learn to trust their innate body wisdom, action what truly nourishes them and let go of what doesn’t, for good.

What emerges is a glorious, new-found freedom, energy and radiance for life, the life you’ve always dreamt of and you are worthy of having.

I look forward to supporting you with coaching strategies and nutrition principles that are nourishing, doable, sustainable, and that yield results.
